What it does

AI is good at explaining. It is less dependable at remembering which state changed a rate, whether an exemption is dated, or whether a number has a source at all. This connector lets the assistant look those facts up while it answers.

  • Receipts with the answer. Returned fields preserve their source links and verification status.
  • Honest unknowns. Missing or unverified figures stay unavailable; they are not replaced with zero or a guessed year.
  • Versioned publications. The assistant can identify the exact local dataset behind an answer.
  • Read-only tools. The connector cannot change an account, send a lead, or write back to your workspace.

Use no authentication when the product asks. The server is a public Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps. Workspace admins may first need to enable developer mode in workspace settings.
  2. Choose Create and name the app AdvisorWorld Reference Data.
  3. Paste the endpoint below, select No authentication, scan the tools, and create the app.
  4. Enable the app in a new chat and ask for sourced tax or planning data.

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Select Add custom connector.
  3. Name it AdvisorWorld Reference Data, paste the endpoint, choose No sign in, and add it.

Deploy it to a workspace

There is no server for your team to host. “Deploying” this connector means adding the public endpoint once in the workspace’s app or connector settings and making it available to members.

  1. An owner or admin creates the connector using the product-specific steps above.
  2. Use the name AdvisorWorld Reference Data, the public endpoint, and no authentication.
  3. Review the discovered tools, then publish or enable the connector for the intended workspace members.
  4. Give the team two or three starter prompts from the next section so they know when to call it.
For an internal AI agent: add the same endpoint as a remote, read-only MCP server. Do not copy the datasets into prompts or build a second tax-data cache; let the tool return the cited, versioned record.
